Dr. Xia Huang is a Project Manager for CE Certification of Medical Devices at DEKRA Certification Inc. He is a qualified technical file reviewer and has assessed a broad range of medical devices, including software as a medical device (SaMD). Prior to joining DEKRA, he accumulated over a decade of hands-on experience in medical image processing and machine/deep learning algorithm development, with a primary focus on pulmonary CT imaging. Dr. Huang has led and contributed to the design and implementation of advanced AI algorithms for imaging biomarker automation and discovery, and his AI-based SaMD has successfully obtained FDA 510(k) clearance. He holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering.
